Is it true that with being female and Diabetic (Type one and/or Type two) your periods can be longer than expected (meaning, than an average woman) and may cause problems with fertility?

My periods have been normal. I have never heard that it effects your fertility just that you have to monitor much more closely if you want to become pregnant and during your pregnancy. Best of Luck.
